It’s a boring Wednesday. I’m just sitting here doing nothing. Anybody else feel this way right now?

No. Life is too valuable for boredom, Grace. Finish your novel. Go take some nature pictures out back with the camera. Water some plants. Sweep out the pool shed for me. Crochet a scarf for a homeless person for the upcoming winter. Teach Sarah some new words to read. Help Julianne write her numbers. Write a song on the piano, or figure out the music to the one you wrote a couple weeks ago. Read. Fire up Paintshop Pro and learn some of the photo-editing tools. Run a few laps around the property to clear your head. Pick some flowers and greenery and make a bouquet. Take a walk. Ride your bike. Grab a couple tennis racquets with Abigail and hit the ball on the driveway. Plan for activities on Saturday. Record Sarah & Julianne on cassette, like we talked about. Call one of your friends just to say hello. Clean/organize your roon. Clean the windows on the French doors. Do some yoga or step aerobics. Find a new toy downstairs for John and show it to him. Ask mom if she needs some help. Dust. Put the beach umbrella on the sand mound and make a little tea area. Pitch a few softballs to Abigail. Organize all of your software CDs. Make a list of stuff you need, and stuff that I need to fix for you. Google Cape May and see what’s around, and let us know. Climb the redwood tree. Do you want me to continue? Summer is short. Enjoy the moment.

Hi Grace:
Dad sure has some great ideas on how not to be bored. Think about some of them — they’re great ideas. See you Saturday,
Aunt Denise
